Illinois and Home May 30, 2021

  May 30, 2021 Today was our final day of the trip. We got our stuff ready but didn’t bring it down. We went to have breakfast first. The food there was really good. Granna said that this was the best hotel breakfast that she thinks we have had this entire trip. I had to agree because that was a really good breakfast. After we ate there, we headed back up to take our stuff down and head home. On our way home, we stopped somewhere in Illinois and we got a picture with a giant statue of Superman. After we took the photos, we got back in the car and headed to Tennessee. We didn’t stop anywhere until we got to Tennessee. We ate at a restaurant called Pucket’s. They had REALLY REALLY REALLY good Macaroni and Cheese. We got some to go and it was gone by the time we started driving. (I ate it). We didn’t stop anywhere for the rest of trip. Mosinee, May 29,2021

  May 29, 2021 Today was our last day at the home. We got our stuff packed at ready to go. We left at about 7am. We started our drive to Illinois. In the car, we had a pastry for breakfast since we left so early and didn’t eat anything. We didn’t stop anywhere for the rest of the morning. We stopped at a rest area and we met Ethan, Samuel, Aunt Beth, and Uncle Jason there. We didn’t stay there long though. We started to make our trip to Illinois again. We stopped at a Culver’s for lunch. After we ate, we got some desserts. We brought them in the car with us and started driving again. We didn’t stop anywhere else. It didn’t take long to get to the hotel. We got a room next to Ethan, Samuel, Aunt Beth, and Uncle Jason. We waited a bit until they got there. Once they got there, me, Ethan, and Samuel played Minecraft for a bit. We then went to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner. Uncle Jason didn’t go with us. Mosinee, May 28, 2021

 May 28th, 2021 Today I also slept in a bit. We had eggs, bacon, and toast today for breakfast. We got ready again and I stayed at the house a bit. Ethan and Samuel went with Uncle Jason to the woods. When they got back, We got ready to head to Uncle Jason’s parents’ house. Ethan and Samuel rode with us on the way there. It took a bit to get there. When we got there, We went inside and ate pizza with them. Jason’s brother came to the house as well and I got to meet him. After we ate, me, Ethan’ and Samuel went outside to play with Jesse’s dog. We played fetch with her. Her name is Ella and she is 6 months old. She was so soft too. It got really cold so I headed back inside. We didn’t really do anything else but talk. We then left there and went back home. I took a nap when we got there. I slept for maybe 1 hour. Mosinee, Wisconsin, May 27, 2021

  May 27, 2021 Today I didn’t wake up until everyone else got up. I didn’t eat breakfast this morning. We got ready and we headed out to a cheese factory. When we got done there, we went to Steven’s Point. We stopped at a restaurant called The Cozy Kitchen. We had perogies there.  I had the Philly Cheese Steak. It was really good. After we finished eating there, we went to The Point Brewery. I got a picture next to a cardboard cutout of Steven. In the photo Aunt Beth took of me, it looked like I was posing the same way he was. After that, we went back to the house. We stayed there for the rest of the night. We had pizza for dinner and that pizza was really good. When we finished eating, we worked on the puzzle more. We got some progress done on it. We went to bed at about 11pm tonight.

Marquette, Michigan, Lake Superior and Mosinee, Wisconsin, May 26,2021

  May 26, 2021 Today I got to sleep in a bit before we left. Grand Daddy went down to put our luggage in the car while me and Granna went down for breakfast. They didn’t have a buffet like the other times. There was only a few things we could choose from. I got a muffin with orange juice. They had hot chocolate so I got that as well. They had sandwiches but you have to go in the room to heat it up. Grand Daddy got a sandwich and a bagel. After that, we got in the car and headed to a skiing area to see something Uncle Jason wanted to show us. On our way there, we stopped at a restaurant called Kick Back Grill on the river in Eagle River, Wisconsin. We had fried cheese curds there. It was really cold when we left the restaurant. We started our way to the house we were gonna stay at. Before we got there, Uncle Jason wanted us to see a skiing area. We drove up and hiked a bit there. We got a few pictures when we were up there. Mackinac Island, Lake Michigan, Lake Huron, May 25 , 2021

 May 25, 2021 Day 4 We woke up really early today. We woke up at about 4am Alabama time and 5am for Michigan time. We did the same thing every time we were checking out. After breakfast, we got in the car and headed towards the lakes. When we were driving, Granna got a some motion detected on her cameras. It was a cat. She started making barking noises to try and scare the cat off. I think she eventually scared the cat off. On our way there we stopped at a town called Mackinaw. When we were there, we got tickets for a ferry to Mackinac Island. After that, we walked around the town a bit. One thing that we noticed is that there were a BUNCH of mosquitoes. Granna took a picture of a sign and it was covered in mosquitos. We started walking back to where we board the ferry. We didn’t have to wait in line that long to board. Notre Dame and Amish Country, May 24, 2021

 May 24, 2021 Day 3 Today I wasn’t exactly sure what time I woke up. Today we did what we did yesterday. We got up, got ready, packed everything up, went down to the lobby to put our stuff in the car, and headed back in for breakfast. I had half of a waffle, sausage, and potatoes. Granddaddy put a lot of whipped cream on my waffle. After breakfast we got in the car and headed to an Amish town. We stopped at a small market and I got some honey straws. We saw where they got the honey from as well. We then drove through an Amish neighborhood. There were some solar panels on the roofs of the barns for natural electricity. We went to a museum and it talked about the history of The Amish. It was very informational about their history. After that, we went through a town called Shipshewana. When we were there, we went to a restaurant called Blue Gate. I had fried chicken with macaroni & cheese and mandarin oranges. We had to get left overs again.
