Riley's Road Trip, May 21, 2021

 

This blog is a chronicle of a trip through Mid America that Riley took with her grandparents, Linda and Jerry Hatfield.  This trip covered Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Illinois.  Trip was 2500 miles.

May 21, 2021
Today was my last day of 6th grade,  We went to Redland Hills for our graduation.  After school we went to Kowaliga for dinner. When we got back to my house, we started packing for tomorrow's trip to Indiana.

  May 26, 2021 Today I got to sleep in a bit before we left. Grand Daddy went down to put our luggage in the car while me and Granna went down for breakfast. They didn’t have a buffet like the other times. There was only a few things we could choose from. I got a muffin with orange juice. They had hot chocolate so I got that as well. They had sandwiches but you have to go in the room to heat it up. Grand Daddy got a sandwich and a bagel. After that, we got in the car and headed to a skiing area to see something Uncle Jason wanted to show us. On our way there, we stopped at a restaurant called Kick Back Grill on the river in Eagle River, Wisconsin. We had fried cheese curds there. It was really cold when we left the restaurant. We started our way to the house we were gonna stay at. Before we got there, Uncle Jason wanted us to see a skiing area. We drove up and hiked a bit there. We got a few pictures when we were up there. On The Road, May 22, 2021

My cheese biscuit  May 22, 2021 Today I woke up at 7:00 am and had a cheese biscuit. (I spent the night at my grandparents' house).  We started for Indiana about 9:00 am. I played on my Kindle and phone for most of the time though.  We stopped at the Tennessee line and ate lunch with Aunt Beth, Uncle Jason, Ethan, and Samuel.  We stopped at a Kentucky rest area and took photos there.  After that we headed straight towards Indiana.  On our way to our hotel, we saw a big clock.  We then went to our hotel to get our stuff out of the car.  After that, we went to take pictures in front of the big clock.  We then went to eat at Chuy's.  We saw a bunny and I named it Pedro since we were at a Mexican place.  After we finished eating,  we went back to the hotel and relaxed for the rest of the night.
